I will do.
I will do.
Procrastination has turned my mind
into a mini zoo.
Sometimes
the lion inside me grows brave.
Its roar reverberates through my body.
I feel like I’ll finish everything
within a minute.
Then, in a corner,
a monkey swings,
chitter-chattering distractions
into the air.
A day later,
I become a relaxed squirrel.
Everything is there.
Everything is fine.
So it really doesn’t matter.
Out of nowhere,
birds chirp,
nudging my perception.
A grizzly bear
pinches my awareness.
And when a snake hisses,
I remember history,
how great people toiled
for their aims.
The next day
I hurl myself forward
like a stone.
I fall into water,
create a ripple,
and then settle down again,
alone
with my own thoughts.
