boat
striped colours
orange, pink, red and blue
a gentleman sailing
under a sky full of clouds
with a crowd following too
“don’t chase dollars
don’t follow my shoes
hold on to my collar
and my followers will come
chasing you”
boat
striped colours
rolling with the sky
clouds turning into waves
as the little boats go by
some are chasing fame
some are chasing gold
some just want a passage
before the harbour lights go cold
but to reach the other shore
there’s something you should know
someone has to row the boat
someone has to steer
when the wild winds blow
so cheer the fisherman
don’t just cheer the boat
he’s the one who gets you there
when the sea has stolen hope
boat
striped colours
orange, pink, red and blue
the gentleman may have followers
but the fisherman
brings you through
